:: Letter from the Provost ::

As Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, I welcome you to the website of the Academic Affairs division for Cal Poly!

Given the broad scope of Academic Affairs, and the wide range of activities that fall under the scope of responsibility of the Office of the Provost, I invite you to use the navigator to the left to be connected to the various colleges, offices, and activities that may be of interest to you.

The faculty, administration, and staff at Cal Poly take pride in providing our students with an excellent educational experience. For the 12th year in a row, Cal Poly has been rated the best public, largely undergraduate, university in the West by U.S. News and World Report. Cal Poly also retained its No. 5 position overall in the magazine’s list of the West’s best universities, including private institutions, that “provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s-level programs but few, if any, doctoral programs.” President Warren Baker noted that, “for over a decade, Cal Poly has been ranked at the top of Western public institutions of higher learning. Of course, the success of our alumni and the quality of our faculty and programs are the real proof that this recognition of Cal Poly’s academic excellence is well deserved.”

Please take the time to peruse the Academic Affairs website, as well as the entire Cal Poly website. We have a great deal of information to share with you, and should you have any comments or suggestions that will help us improve the information offered, please email the webmaster at academicaffairs@calpoly.edu!
